The statue is a part of the popular Isha Yoga Centre and stands at a height of 112 feet. The purpose behind this standing statue is to promote the culture of yoga and meditation. Since Lord Shiva is the Adiyogi or the first teacher of yoga, He is the symbol of promoting this beautiful ancient art.
